Skoura Ait El Wast is a rural commune located approximately 40 kilometers from the city of Ouarzazate, within the province of Ouarzazate in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region of Morocco. According to the official census of 2004, the commune had a total population of 22,880 inhabitants living in 3,445 households.
It is a palm oasis situated in the southeastern part of Ouarzazate, a city renowned for tourism and filmmaking (often called "Africa's Hollywood"), known for its breathtaking landscapes and majestic historical kasbahs. The Skoura oasis lies about 40 km from the center of Ouarzazate, heading towards Kalâat M’gouna and Tinghir. The oasis extends across three main valleys: the Dades Valley to the east, the Hajaj Valley running through its center towards the west, and finally the Imedri Valley forming its western boundary.
